Two guys are at a bar on the roof of a hotel.
One guy says to the other guy, "I'll bet you a beer that I can jump off this building, let this wind take me all the way around this building, and I'll land back up here." The other guy says, "Are you kidding me? You're on."
The first guy jumps and, sure enough, he goes around the building and lands back on the roof. "You owe me a beer," he says.
He goes on to perform the trick several more times, collecting free beer after free beer, until the second guy decides he's going to try to attempt the trick as well. He stands on the edge, looking forward to a free beer from the first man, and jumps off, dying when he slams into the pavement below.
The bartender says to the first man, "You sure are a jerk when you're drunk, Superman..."
Changing from placing thoughts (not that anyone really cares about that, but will sometimes still post things like that) to weekly updates of different things to keep you thinking and exploring. Hopefully something that will be enjoyable for you.

Lyrics:
I think I took it too far this time.
Don't think there are things out there I thought.
My lips are sealed,
Pick up the phone.
I know it's real.
I woke up today feeling, oh so strange in every single way.
I must by out of my head,
As I try to make decisions like these.
I'm so confused;
I never lost my way back home.
I'm so confused;
I swear I lost my way back home.
I think I floated too far this fall.
I float in space 'til I hear my world.
I need a friend.
Is this the end?
I'm losing it.
I woke up today feeling, oh so strange in every single way.
I must by out of my head,
As I try to make decisions like these.
I'm so confused;
I never lost my way back home.
I'm so confused;
I swear I lost my way back home.
I'm never coming down.
I'm never coming down.
I'm never coming down from these clouds.
I try to tell myself,
A king fit for the crown,
A king fit for the crown in this world.
I woke up today feeling, oh so strange in every single way.
I must be out of my head,
As I try to make decisions like these.
I'm never coming down.
I'm never coming down.
I'm never coming down from these clouds.

A king fit for the crown,

Lyrics:
Don't confuse neediness for love,
Because obsession never lasts,
And you're insane by a landslide.
Never cared for you much until death do us part.
You'll always be distressed.
Carry on, with the guise of a sheep in a storm.
You're a wolf and you're losing the ground that you're on.
But hey, hey, I've got things to say.
I've lost control of life.
I don't know how many times I've tried,
To undo the knot you've tied.
My face is red, and people change,
I've changed for good this time.
And I've followed you around.
I've seen you all over town.
I've got a laundry list telling me why,
It follows to prove I was right.
Carry on, with the guise of a sheep in a storm.
You're a wolf and you're losing the ground that you're on.
But hey, hey, I've go things to say.
I've lost control of life.
I don't know how many times I've tried,
To undo the knot you've tied.
My face is red, and people change,
I've changed for good this time.
I just can't handle this, I'm just so scared of it,
A challenge fit for a man when I'm just a kid.
I'm all torn at the seams, just like you said I'd be.
If this is love, then I don't want a part of it.
I just can't handle this, I'm just so scared of it,
A challenge fit for a man when I'm just a kid.
I'm all torn at the seams, just like you said I'd be.
If this is love, then I don't want a part of it.

Carry on (Carry on)
Carry on, carry on, carry on.
Hey, hey, carry on, carry on.
Carry on,
Carry on, carry on, carry on.

Friday Funny
A police officer in a small town stopped a motorist who was speeding down Main Street.
"But officer," the man began, "I can explain."
Already experiencing a very long and grueling day, the officer snapped back in response, "Just be quiet, I'm going to let you cool your heels in jail until the chief gets back..."
"But officer, I just wanted to say..." the man said.
"And I said to keep quiet! You are going to jail." the officer said sternly.
A few hours had pasted while back at the jailhouse. The officer looked in on his prisoner and said, "Lucky for you, the chief is at his daughter's wedding. He'll be in a good mood when he gets back."
"Don't count on that..." answered the man in the cell. "I'm the groom..."

Song: Come Home
Band: Tonight Alive
Album: The Other Side (2013)
Label: Sony Music Australia, Fearless Records
Lyrics:
Spinning around, I'm weightless.
Living it now, just taste it.
It's begun.
We've come undone now.
Spirited, I am free here.
Given it all to be here.
You're the one,
We'll touch the sun.
Oh, Oh, Ohohoh (2x)
We're so close.
Oh, Oh, Ohohoh
Don't let go.
Well if you came home,
You already know,
That I would be waiting,
Cause I have been praying,
For you to stay close,
Under the light of a full moon. (Whoa)
And if you can't stay,
I'll wait for the day,
That you can be all mine,
Stay up with you all night.
So don't run away.
I am the light, I will guide you home.
Taking a step back, wishing,
That you never left.
I'm missing you so bad.
You're the best thing,
The best thing I ever had.
Packing my bags, I'm hoping,
You still feel the same.
Been holding on like glue,
Cause the one thing,
The one thing I need is you.
Oh, Oh, Ohohoh (2x)
We're so close.
Oh, Oh, Ohohoh
Don't let go.
Well if you came home,
You already know,

Stay up with you all night.
So don't run away.
I am the light, I will guide you home.
So let me take you back to the night we had,
Laying under the light of a full moon,
And I would give anything to be there with you.
Spinning around I'm weightless...
Well if you came home,
You already know,
That I would be waiting,
Cause I have been praying,
For you to stay close,
Under the light of a full moon. (Whoa)

Label: Solid State
August Burns Red is:
Jake Luhrs - Lead Vocals
J.B. Brubaker - Lead Guitar

Lyrics:
You give us dreams to wake us up, you say,
"Take pride in the provision."
When all we see is the face of defeat, you say,
"Take pride in the provision."
My future's finally found me, figured me out.
It's painful. It's tough. I never saw it coming.
Come as it may, because all of this life is a lesson.
I'd rather learn then end up in a cold, covered up dark grave.
These are the words of a man who finally let go.
These are the goals of a man who's laid it all down.
Losing it all made me realize I am the victim,
The culprit, the casualty, and the cause.
Losing it all led me to you.
Losing it all led me to you.
I'm sick. I need sight. I need help.
I need you, and I'm not getting any better.
I am the deceiver.
I'm not getting any better.
I'm the thief, the whore, the murderer.
It's times like these, it's times like these,
You forget who you are.
The way up is down. Truth is found,
When life throws you out and kicks you to the curb.
I'm just as much the problem as the man behind bars.
He did with his business what I do in my heart.
You wronged me. You crossed me. I'll never let it ruin me.
Lessons are learned deep down within my heart.
In my heart.
The worst men make the best stories come true.
The past is a part of me, but not who I am.
I realize my identity is not in what I've seen,
But in what I believe to be true.
I know what I need now.
All that was lost is not lost.
Even the worst of mankind can't disrupt sovereignty.
You've given me the nightmare to wake me up. You say,
"Take pride in the provision."
You've given me more than enough. You say,
"Take pride in the provision."

Friday Funday
Human Resources Heaven and Hell
One day, while walking down the street, a highly successful HR Director was tragically hit by a bus and she had died just moments later. Her soul arrived up in heaven where she was met at the Pearly Gates by St. Peter himself.
"Welcome to Heaven," said St. Peter. "Before you get settled in though, it seems we have a bit of a problem. You see, strangely enough, we've never once had a Human Resources Director make it this far and we aren't really sure what we need to do with you."
"No problem, just let me in." said the woman.
"Well, I'd like to," replied St. Peter, "but I have higher orders. What we're going to do is let you have a day in Hell and a day in Heaven. Once you've done this, then you can choose whichever one you would want to spend an eternity in."
"Actually, I think I've made up my mind where I want to be, and I prefer to stay in Heaven." said the woman.
"Sorry, we have rules..." said St. Peter.
And with that St. Peter put the executive in an elevator and it down-down-down into the depths of Hell. The doors of the elevator opened and she found herself stepping out onto the putting green of a beautiful golf course. In the distance was the club house, to one side were various types of lush tropical trees and shrubbery, to the other was the ocean with the calming sounds and smells of the spray as it crashed against the coast and standing in front of her were all her friends - fellow executives that she had worked with and they were all dressed in evening gowns and suits and they were all cheering for her. They ran up to her and embraced her and kissed her on both cheeks and they talked about old times they have had. They then played a excellent round of golf, and at night went to the club house where they all enjoyed a dinner of steak and lobster. Later on in the night, she actually had the chance to meet Lucifer himself, who was actually a decent guy (kind of cute) and she had a great time telling jokes and dancing. She was having such a wonderful time, that before she knew it, the 24-hour period she had was up. Everyone shook her hand and hugged her and waved goodbye as she got back onto the elevator. The elevator ascended and opened back up at the Pearly Gates and she found St. Peter standing before her, awaiting her arrival again.
"Now it's time to spend a day in heaven." he said. So she spent the next 24 hours lounging around on the clouds and playing various types of orchestral instruments and singing angelically to the most beautiful songs that you could possibly think of. She was having the greatest of times, and before she knew it, her 24 hours in heaven had ran out and St. Peter came and got her.
"So, you have spent a day in hell and you have spend a day in heaven. Now, you must choose your eternity. What will it be?" said St. Peter.
The woman paused for a moment to mull over her options and her experiences she had in the last 48 hours. After doing so, she replied, "Well, I never thought I'd say this, I mean, Heaven has been really, really great and all, but I think I had a better time in Hell."
So, after hearing this response, St. Peter escorted her back to the elevator and again she descended back to Hell.
When the door of the elevator opened again, she found herself standing in a desolate wasteland covered in garbage and filth, resembling the likeness of a post-apocalyptic world. She then saw her friends, dressed in rags and where picking up garbage and putting it into sacks. A far cry from what she had remembered just a day ago. The Devil came up to her and put his arm around her shoulders.
"I don't understand," the woman stammered, "yesterday, I was here and there was a golf course and a club house and we had lobster and steak, danced and had a great time. Now all there is, is nothing. Everything has been laid to waste and all of my friends look absolutely horrid and miserable."
The Devil looked at her and smiled egregiously and responded, "Of course, yesterday we were recruiting you, today you're staff..."
Well, I'm not going to suggest a movie to watch...
Mad about it? My blog. I do what I want.
What I am going to suggest is a TV show to look up and watch.

Wednesday Artist
If you happened to of looked under the "Something Fun" tab above, you might have noticed a list of what day represents what. Now I know that I did say that, with today's posts, I would try to post things related to the arts. This includes everything from music to photography to paintings and whatnot. You may have noticed that this isn't really the case to this point, being that almost everything that I have posted, with the exception of one day, are music related. I am still learning things about the arts, and I'm one to say that I am not the artistic type. But what I do know, is music. That is why the majority of the posts are music related. But, don't worry, I'm still learning, and there will be a little more substance to this than just recommending bands to listen to. But in the meantime, yes, today will be another recommendation for another band/music artist to look into.
With that all said, today's artist is:
Vocal Few
If you are familiar with band The Classic Crime, you will definitely recognize the vocal and musical styling of this musical duo. Although Matt and Kristie MacDonald have created musical renditions that have deviated a little from the rock sounds of The Classic Crime to more of a folk and acoustical sounds, the styling still exists in some manner providing that melodic and gentle sounds we are used to with less of a punch that is still memorable and keeps you coming back for a listen. Posted below are the songs "The Road" from the "Tall Trees - EP" and "We'll Make it Someday" from the "She'll be Right" album.

Lyrics:
Maybe it's the trembling I get when I face my fears at night.
It's all about, you.
Tell me have you ever felt the waves crash over your body and into the deep.
Did you think you could be the one to prove me wrong?
Just prove me wrong.
And for a space between each wall in my lungs,
Should be filled with songs of you.
In the back,
Beneath my feet should spell out your name.
Out your name, out your name.
I wanna breathe with more than my lungs,
And I want your word on the tip of my tongue and mind.
Everything you want me to be.
I'll follow you. (With eyes close)
I'll follow you. (As far as you go)
I'll follow you. (You)
I should have known, I should have known,
That you would calm these waves that I create.
These steady hands, steady hands,
Were meant for more than what they make.
How did you know that I would be falling in love with you?
I should have known,
That I would be falling in love with you.
I wanna breathe with more than my lungs,
And I want your word on the tip of my tongue and mind.
Everything you want me to be.
I'll follow you. (With eyes close)
I'll follow you. (As far as you go)
I'll follow you. (You)
I wanna breathe with more than my lungs,
And I want your word on the tip of my tongue and mind.
Everything you want me to be.
Ooh, I'll follow,
I'll follow (you).

Humanity
First off, I need to say this knowing that I will probably catch some flak for what this post is even about, this is indeed my view. I am going to keep things within perspective of how I view them, and you can correct me if I am wrong about a statement that I might say, because that is welcome. But don't you dare crucify me because my views are different. I have a different background that you and everyone that lives on this Earth. And so be it. Not everyone is nor can be the same. We all have a brain, and it's about time that we all start using it for much nobler things.
By the time you are seeing this, it is already old news, but with my schedule of posts, I really cannot post this during the week to interrupt the already scheduled posts. Remember that Coca-Cola ad that was shown during the Super Bowl? If you don't remember or have not seen it yet, go ahead and stop reading and open up another tab to YouTube and search it.
When I first saw this ad, I thought it was fitting to what this country is all about. After all, even the Native Americans were immigrants as well thanks in part to something called a land bridge. Hooray for geology. But after some searching and some StumbleUpon's, I did notice a blog that stood out to me, and quite frankly upset me. And if you know me any, I'm not particularly one to be overly upset about anything, but for some reason, this one caught my attention and after reading some of the entries, it raised some serious questions about the society we live in. How are we living in a country, that in fact, it's citizens immigrated to this land in some way, shape or form, that are either first generation, second generation, third generation, etc., that is so unbelievably closed minded?
Now, this blog I mentioned is focused on spiteful, racist and downright just disrespectful tweeting from, none other, your fellow American. Granted that this was just a snapshot, just a drop of water in an ocean, of a handful of people who were, I'm sure, 'delightfully' selected based on their comments about how terrible of a commercial the Coca-Cola ad was. Saying such comments as:
"I feel un-American for drinking Coke today." -What a shame, cause I drink Coke almost everyday and I still feel the same.
"That coke commercial sucked. Mexicans, terrorists, jews, and n****** are not 'American.'" -A stab at almost everything that's not caucasian. But guess what? Terrorism is defined as the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, especially for political purposes; the state of fear and submission produced by terrorism or terrorization. That does include any small acts within your own country that effects a small group of people to be under duress.
"why is god bless america being sung in other languages...this is AMERICAN AND WE SPEAK ENGLISH." -You're right, most of us do speak english. But keep in mind, just like our country, the language we use is based on borrowed and dead languages of which is not really of our own.
Let's take a moment to think about this. Did we all forget the lessons that we were taught in American history from elementary and secondary school? I remember a few parts in there how this country is celebrated for our differences but united as one. I don't know, may be my school was different than yours and these things just happened to be omitted from the lessons that are being taught today, since it seems like ages ago since I've been through this. But even still, there are college classes out there that specifically talk about immigration and how that essentially formed this nation. Now, I will admit, I was like this at one time, but when I look back at myself, I was a very naïve high schooler that had zero experience with dealing with any social differences. But that still doesn't make it right in my book.
Just like yourself, I am human. We all make mistakes like this. And it's comments like this coming from people that make me seriously doubt humanity. Granted that this is all well within our right to freedom of speech in the First Amendment of the Constitution, but I feel as if humanitarianism is a forgotten, and the use of the First Amendment is just an easy out for people to not feel any regret for hateful remarks. Maybe it's just me. Maybe I am wrong for thinking that we shouldn't rip Coca-Cola a new one for providing an exemplary advertisement of what America IS. Maybe I am wrong for wanting a peaceful and harmonious place to live without judgement of race or religion. Maybe I AM WRONG. But maybe you are too.
Humanitarianism: An ethic of kindness, benevolence and sympathy extended universally and impartially to all human beings.
Human Beings.
That includes everyone.
Some of you can continue to make the argument that the commercial was terrible or a horrid example of what America is. And that is fine, you are entitled to that, there are always two sides to a story, but you seriously need to take a moment to repeat what you said or are going to say and really, really think to yourself and ask "Is this the image I want for myself?"
Morgan Freeman on "60 Minutes" interviewed by Mike Wallace:
WALLACE: Black History Month, you find...
FREEMAN: Ridiculous.
WALLACE: Why?
FREEMAN: You're going to relegate my history to a month?
WALLACE: Come on.
FREEMAN: What do you want with yours? Which month is White History Month? Come on, tell me.
WALLACE: I'm Jewish.
FREEMAN: OK. Which month is Jewish History Month?
WALLACE: There isn't one.
FREEMAN: Why not? Do you want one?
WALLACE: No, no.
FREEMAN: I don't either. I don't want a Black History Month. Black history is American history.
WALLACE: How are we going to get rid of racism until...?
FREEMAN: Stop talking about it. I'm going to stop calling you a white man. And I'm going to ask you to stop calling me a black man. I know you as Mike Wallace. You know me as Morgan Freeman. You're not going to say, "I know this white guy named Mike Wallace." Hear what I'm saying?

Three Programmers at the Urinal...
Three male programmers, all three from different companies, were in the bathroom standing at the urinals. The first programmer finishes, then walks over to the sink to wash his hands. He proceeds to dry off his hands very thoroughly and carefully. He used paper towel after paper towel and ensure that every single speck of water is dried off of every spot of his hands.
Turing to the the other two, he says, "At Windows, we are trained to be extremely thorough."
The second programmer finishes up at the urinal and walks over to the sinks and proceeds to wash his hands as well. He uses a single paper towel and makes sure that he dries his hands using every available portion of the paper towel.
He turns, "At Macintosh, not only are we trained to be extremely thorough, but we are also trained to be extremely efficient." he scoffs.
The third programmer finishes up, turns and walks straight out the door with the other two looking at him as he walks by. He shouts over his shoulder as the door is closing, "At Red Hat, we don't urinate on our hands."

Now, some of you may not be sports fans. And those of you that are, some of you may not be motorsports fans and may or may not consider it a sport. Now, lets remember what the definition of sport is. Sport: an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature, as racing, baseball, tennis, golf, bowling, wrestling, boxing, hunting, fishing, etc.; diversion, recreation, pleasant pastime. We are all entitled to our own opinion of what that may be, but I would like to say that I like to keep an open mind. So you can make your own arguments as to what is a sport and what is not, but in the end, if it requires a specific skill to master and is of competitive nature and involves a person exerting some type of physical output, it is a sport in my book.
With all this said, the movie I have selected is a sports film about a race car driver. Some of you may have heard of Ayrton Senna. Definitely more popular on the world stage because of Formula 1. Senna was a 3 time world champion (1988, 1990 and 1991), who collected 65 pole positions (qualified 1st), 41 wins (first win in 1985 at Estoril, Portugal) and 80 podiums (top 3 finish) in 162 races (161 starts) (1984-1994). He amassed 164 points in his career under the old FIA scoring system. This film documents the early life and career if this iconic driver and goes behind he scenes of some his struggles he had to deal with against his competitors, teammates and the FIA.

Lyrics:
Son, I don't want to run in place, I don't want to run out.
Who the hell runs this place? Still trying to figure out,
Why I have to fight so hard just to put up a fight.
I hear myself loud and clear, maybe just too loud.
Everyone sounds sincere, but shut up, shut up, shut up,
Before you fall apart, right here and now.
Son, in my hands, neon eyes take the lead,
And darling, I know I've made mistakes,
But won't you follow me into the deep?
When, when you hold my hand, hold on for dear life.
'Cause when you look at me that way, you force a riot,
And walls are caving in, you fuel the fire.
Son, in my hands, neon eyes take the lead,
And darling, I know I've made mistakes,
But won't you follow me into the deep?
I don't want to say,
I don't want to say a word. (5x)

Lyrics:
Full of despair inside a darkness,
Self conscious and scared, held a prisoner of war.
Running out of air, buried in a sadness.
Want a way out of this paralyzing world,
And the sound of the cries when a family's loved one dies.
It echoes through a vacant room where a young soul still resides.
When the night is cold and you feel like no one knows,
What it's like to be the only one buried in this hole.
You can make it to the sunrise.
You can make it to the sunrise.
Searching for a way to escape the madness.
A dire need for change as we fight for better days.
The hurt and the pain cut deep like a razor blade.
Holding in a cry for love, abandoned and afraid.
When the night is cold and you feel like no one knows,
What it's like to be the only one buried in this hole.
You can make it to the sunrise.
You can make it to the sunrise.
I won't go to my grave, until a difference is made.
I won't go to my grave, until a difference is made.
(Until a difference is made.)
When the night is cold and you feel like no one knows,
What it's like to be the only one buried in this hole.
You can make it to the sunrise.
You can make it to the sunrise.
I won't go to my grave, until a difference is made.
(Until a difference is made.)
Until a difference is made.
(From time to time, there arise among human beings, people, who seem to exude love, as naturally as the sun gives out heat.)
